Today's Scripture

Chosen

"For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…"
(Ephesians 1:4, NIV).

God chose you before the foundations of the earth. Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn't create you to be average. He didn't create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.

Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don't have what it takes. They are living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we're not going to experience God's best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.

Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value, you'll rise up higher and higher into the life of victory He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for equipping me. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Make Right Connections

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother"
(Proverbs 18:24, NIV).

Do you know how important it is to be connected to the right people? Your destiny is too big to accomplish on your own. But God has already arranged for certain people to speak faith into you. He has already placed in your path people who will inspire you, challenge you and help you accomplish your dreams. But the reason some people never reach their highest potential is because they never get away from the wrong people.

Recognize today that not everyone can go where God is taking you. You've got to connect with people who understand your destiny and can call forth your seeds of greatness. You don't have time to spend on people who are always pushing you down, telling you what you can't do, or never giving you their approval no matter how hard you try. Friend, life is too short to drag people along. If you will get the wrong people out of your life, then God will bring in the right people so you can fulfill the destiny He has in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for placing the right people in my life. Help me to discern the right connections You have for me. Give me strength to release the wrong relationships so I have room in my life for the people You have chosen to connect with me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Know Your Limitations!

"If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be"
(1 Corinthians 12: 17-18, NIV).

In the New Testament, John was baptizing a crowd of people and drawing a lot of attention. Somebody came up and said, "John, are you the Christ or should we keep looking?" Without missing a beat John said, "No, I am not the Messiah."

See, John knew what he was, but he also knew what he was not. It's just as important to know what you're not because if you don't realize your limitations, you'll get drawn into areas that may look impressive and may feed your ego, but they are outside of your gifting and calling; outside of what God anointed you to do. Anytime you go outside of your limitations, it will be a constant struggle. Don't let that be you! Instead, stay focused on what you're good at. Follow peace in your heart and know your limitations because God has created you just the way He wants you to be!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for choosing me. I ask that You help me to know my limitations. Help me to know my place in the body of Christ so that I can bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

He Holds Your Destiny!

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way"
(Psalm 37:23, NKJ).

Oftentimes, people who aren't fulfilling their destiny will try to discourage you from fulfilling yours. They may not do it intentionally, but they'll tell you what you can't do and how things won't work out. They're quick to remind you of all your impossibilities. Your relatives, co-workers and friends may try to talk you out of your dream, but that's because God didn't put that promise in them; He put it in you. You have to remember that other people don't determine your destiny; God does. He holds your destiny in the palm of His hand. If you will keep believing, God will not only bring it to pass, but He will do more than you can ask or think.

Friend, don't let someone else's unbelief keep you from believing. Don't let other people talk you out of your dreams. It's time to get into agreement with God. He says you are well able. He says you are equipped. He says you are qualified. He says you are anointed, called and appointed to fulfill every dream and desire He's placed in your heart!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I trust that You are leading and guiding me today. I trust that You hold my future. I choose to tune out the discouraging voices and tune into Your Word. Fill me with Your peace and joy as You direct my steps. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Hair Update!

Hello all!
Here is an update to my natural hair journey. No more rollers! My routine has become pretty simple.
1.) I cleanse my hair with Miss Jessies Creme De La Curl sulfate free cleanser.
2.) I apply organic virgin Coconut Oil and a handful of Say Yes To Carrots Hair Mud Mask to my strands while wet, then I put on a plastic cap. I let the concoction sit for about 2 hours. (30 mins. if I am pressed for time)
3.) Rinse, then I apply a little Herbal Essence Hello Hydration (watered down) to my hair. I comb through, section hair, then twist in about 8 to 12 twist.
4.) Air dry, untwist, and go!
I will be trying a rod/straw set next week, so I will post pics of the results.
Happy Naturals!

Today's Scripture

The Most Blessed!

"If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed"
(Proverbs 29:18, The Message).

God wants His people to be the most blessed! He wants His people to constantly increase so they can be examples of His goodness. But, in order to partake of everything He has in store for us, we have to be open to what He wants to do in our lives. We have to have a vision for increase. We have to look for what He is doing and obey what He tells us.

If you're not expecting favor, or if you are just satisfied with where you are, then you are living below your privileges. But if you will get a vision for increase, a vision of who you are as a child of the Most High God and see what He wants to do in your life, then opportunities, favor and increase will open before you. Just like this scripture says, as a child of the Most High, you are entitled to be the most blessed!

I encourage you, today, to take time to focus your thoughts on God and His promises. Meditate on His Word and ask Him to increase your capacity to receive. Then, follow His commands and look for His goodness—and get ready to be the most blessed!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, I choose right now to set my mind and focus on You. I choose to look for what You want to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes or actions that would hold me back. I choose to obey You and thank You for Your blessing in my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Trust Him to Make a Way!

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God"
(Psalm 20:7, NIV)

Sometimes, it's easy to get discouraged when things don't go your way. Maybe you aren't getting out of debt as fast as you wanted. Or you're experiencing some challenges in your health or relationships. We have to be careful not to put God in a box by thinking that just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Remember, we serve a supernatural God. When we believe, all things become possible!

The first step is to quit trying to figure everything out. There may not be a way in the natural, but that's okay. God can do what men can't do. Think about the children of Israel. When they left Egypt, there were two million of them. Then, Pharaoh came chasing after them, and when they came to a dead end at the Red Sea, it looked like it was over. They couldn't see a way out. But that didn't mean there wasn't a way. God simply parted the Red Sea and they went through on dry ground.

Remember, if it looks like there is no way in the natural, trust God to make a way. He'll part the waters if He has to! He'll do whatever it takes to lead and guide you in the path of victory that He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I trust that with You all things are possible. Today, I take my eyes off my circumstances, and I choose to put my trust and hope in You. I bless You and thank You for Your faithfulness. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

It's Newbie Natural Diva's Blog Birthday!

Well, it has been 1 year today since I started down the blog path. I have really enjoyed my time here and I have really enjoyed sharing information with all of you. I have made some wonderful blog friends and I can truly say I am blessed to have met each and everyone of you.

I am also sad to say this will be my last post. :(

When I started this blog, I promised myself I would devote one year to it and leave it alone. It was an outlet for me to express my love of fashion and to share my personal journey to the natural hair side with all of you. My natural hair journey has been a success, but I am in a routine that I am sticking with, so I don't have anymore tips to give. As for fashion, I still love it, but I am focusing on becoming debt free by May 2011, so I am not shopping or enticing myself to shop nearly as much as before. (I can't blog about fashion because it makes me want to shop)

I am also embarking on a new life with my honey and since he suffered while I went to college, after four years it is now his turn to have my full attention. (After work of course)
So, I want to say goodbye, but I will definitely still drop by all of your blogs to see what you are up to. Trendy Teez, I am sure I will be contacting you soon for my winter, natural wardrobe!

I want to wish you all a blessed life and I want to thank you for all of your support!

Happy Life!

Today's Scripture

Set Your Mind Higher

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things"
(Colossians 3:2, NIV)

Sometimes when people look toward the future, they don't see how they will ever rise higher or fulfill their destiny. That's because they are looking at things in the earthly, or natural, realm. But if we'll set our minds higher, if we'll set our minds on things above, we will have a different perspective.

The Scripture says in Second Corinthians that we walk by faith and not by sight. In other words, we have to believe it before we're ever going to see it.

When we set our minds higher, we walk by faith. We see things God's way. But when we walk by what we see in the natural realm, we can easily allow circumstances and fear to keep us from moving forward.

Make the decision today to set your mind on things above. Focus on the good things God has in store. Be determined to close the door on fear and doubt and choose to listen to that inner prompting of the Holy Spirit. As you walk and live by faith, you'll see His promises come to pass, and you'll move forward into the destiny He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for Your Word which lights the path You have for me. I choose today to keep my heart and mind focused on You. I choose to meditate on Your Word knowing that it feeds my faith and sets me in a position to receive every blessing You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Choose This Day

"…choose for yourselves this day whom will you serve…"
(Joshua 24:15, NIV)

Every day, we make thousands of choices. Some choices have more impact on our lives than others. Some require more thought. Some may even require the input of others. Making Jesus the Lord of your life is the best choice you could ever make! However, once you do, you have the opportunity every day to make choices to support that choice. For example, are you choosing to serve the Lord with your attitude? Are you choosing to serve the Lord with your finances? Are you choosing to serve the Lord by what you say? What you watch on TV? What you listen to?

Today I encourage you to examine your thoughts and actions. Choose this day to serve Him in every area of your life. As you submit your ways to Him, He promises to direct your steps. Remember, He has good things in store for your future. He promises to empower you to live the life of victory as you choose Him each and every day.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, today I choose You. Search my heart and mind and show me anything in my life that is displeasing to You. Help me to serve You with my whole heart, mind, will, and emotions. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Product Review - Say Yes to Carrots Pampering Hair Mud Conditioner

I posted about the hair mud mask a while back, but I just tried the Yes To Carrots Pampering Hair Mud Conditioner and I like it as well. My hair was so soft and tangle free after just one use. I will use this as a regular conditioner as I do with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration.

The Pampering Hair Mud conditioner nourishes, conditions, softens, and tames my tresses with the same ingredients as the mud mask but at half the cost. The mud mask retails around $22 at Walgreen's, but I found it at Target for $11. The mud conditioner is at Target for $6.79.

Now don't get me wrong, I will still use the mud mask as a weekly dc, but now I have another friend.

Today's Scripture

Protected by Love

"For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there"
(James 3:16, NKJV)

All throughout scripture, God commands us to love. In fact, 1 Corinthians tells us that love is the greatest thing. Love is all that matters on this earth, and it's all that will last in eternity. But do you realize that we are protected when we walk in love? When we are selfish or self-seeking, the scripture tells us that it opens the door to confusion and every evil work. But when we walk in love, when we choose to put others first, when we choose to be patient and kind and walk in unity, we are protected by love. We close the door to the plans of the enemy in our lives.

Today, check your love walk. Read 1 Corinthians 13 and see if you emulate the characteristics of love. Remember, love is not a feeling; it's a choice. When you choose love, it's like you are covered by a force field of protection that cannot be penetrated.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I humbly come before You today asking that You search my heart. Remove any selfish way in me and help me to always walk in love. Thank You for protecting me through Your promises. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Your Appointed Time

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time…though it tarries, wait for it"
(Habakkuk 2:3, KJV))

God has an appointed time to fulfill the visions, dreams, and desires in your heart. Just because it has taken a long time or because you've tried and failed doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Don't give up on those dreams! Don't be complacent about pursuing what God has placed in your heart. Our God is a faithful God. No matter how long it's been, no matter how impossible things look, if you'll stay in faith, your set time is coming.

Remember, every dream that's in your heart, every promise that has taken root, God put it there. Not only that, but He has every intention of bringing it to pass. Hold on to that vision today. Declare by faith, "My time is coming. God is working behind the scenes on my behalf. I will fulfill my destiny!" As you continue to hold on to that vision and speak life over your dreams, it won't be long before you see them begin to take shape. You'll see your faith grow, you'll see your hope strengthen, and you'll see yourself step into the destiny God has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, I receive Your Word which is life and health to me today. I ask that You ignite my heart with Your holy fire so that I can pursue Your perfect plan for my life. Make my thoughts and words agreeable to Your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Rent The Runway!

Jennifer Hyman, left, and Jennifer Carter Fleiss at Rent the Runway headquarters.

For many women, (me included) a $1,000 dress is something they admire in the pages of a glossy magazine or see draped on the frame of a celebrity. This is not an item regularly hanging in their closet.

But a great Web site called Rent the Runway is hoping to make high-end fashions much more accessible and almost as easy as renting a movie from Netflix. Now you can at least have a high-end designer dress hanging in your closet for four days.

The rentals run $50 to $200 for a four-night loan and are shipped directly to the customer’s doorstep. After wearing the dress, you just put it neatly into a prepaid envelope and drop it in the mail. Dry cleaning is included in the price, but damage insurance costs $5, and in the case of outright destruction of the dress, the renter is responsible for the full retail price.

Rent the Runway was founded by two recent Harvard Business School graduates, Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Carter Fleiss. Ms. Hyman said she got the idea for the service last year after watching her younger sister agonize over whether to buy an expensive new outfit to wear to a wedding.

This may sound gross to some (If you're not sure about wearing something that has been worn by multiple women) or it may sound great to others (if you are the resale shop type that don't give a hoot how many times it has been rented by others).

So when you have that very important event coming up and you want to look your best but you don't want to break the bank, this site may be just what the doctor ordered. Just think of how many times you have bought a dress specifically for an event and never wore it again. It probably cost anywhere between $50-$200 (or maybe even more) and it was probably not even a designer dud.

Happy Rental!

My Experiment w/Protective Styles

Here is a pic of a twist that I tried out for the first time. This picture was taken after 4 days. I wore it up most of the time because I wasn't really feeling it. My honey loved it though, so I may do it again to see if it will grow on me. It was great as a protective style and my ends were easier to moisturize.

Today's Scripture

Choose to Trust!

"Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…"
(Psalm 40:4, NIV)

Is your trust in the Lord today? Trusting in the Lord is a decision we make just like we choose anything else in life. You chose what to wear today, you probably chose what you would have for breakfast, and you can choose to trust God today, too! And just like the decision to receive salvation, when you choose to trust God, there is a peace that settles on the inside of your heart. There are blessings in store for you when you trust Him.

No matter what you are facing in life today, you can have faith that God will come through for you. You can trust that His Word is always true. In Psalm 32, David calls God his "hiding place." In other words, not only can you choose to trust God in the midst of your difficulty; you can actually hide in Him and find rest for your soul. When the circumstances of life seem to be overwhelming, choose to trust that God is ordering your steps. Find security in Him knowing that He's making your crooked places straight and leading you into the everlasting life He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, today I choose to put my trust in You. I know You are a good and faithful God, and I trust that You have my best interest at heart. Help me stay focused on Your goodness today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

What's Your Part?

"But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?"
(Romans 10:14-15, NLT)

It's amazing how God can take so many people in the world and set up a plan for us to work together for His purposes to build the body of Christ. We all have a part. One scripture puts it this way, some plant seeds, some water, and some bring in the harvest. No matter what role we have, when we work together, we are honoring God. It pleases Him when we partner with one another to share the good news of the Gospel.

Today, know that you have an important part in the body of Christ. Whether you minister in the pulpit or on the street corner, or whether you sow seed so that others can go, you are important. Don't ever underestimate the part you play because together we are building His kingdom.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I humbly come to You today. Thank You for giving me a part to play in building Your kingdom. I dedicate back to You the resources You have given me. Use me for Your glory. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Today's Scripture

The Report of the Lord

"I have heard a report from the Lord…"
(Jeremiah 49:14, AMP)

Every day we get "reports" from the news, our experiences, our friends and family, and many other sources. We also get reports from the Word of God, which oftentimes, contradicts what everyone else is saying. That’s when we have a choice to make. Do we believe what we hear in the natural, or do we believe the report of the Lord?

We serve a supernatural God! Just because we don’t see a way doesn’t mean that He doesn’t have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to new levels. He has explosive blessings that can blast you out of debt and into a place of abundance. What you’re facing today may be impossible with man, but with God all things are possible. Choose today to believe the report of the Lord. Stand strong no matter what is going on around you knowing that He has a plan to lead you into victory in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, I choose to believe Your Word above all else. I know that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf, and You will cause me to triumph. Help me to tune out the negative voices of the world so that I can focus on Your goodness all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I am really feeling the peep-toe booties and the jeweled stilettos this summer! I think they really accentuate the legs in a beautiful way and they help hide skinny ankles (like mine).

Below are just a few of my favorites I found at www.BchicShoes.com

It is a fashionable website of a great shoe boutique in Atlanta, B-Chic Shoetique. There is also another store by the same owner in Harlem, NY called Bourgeoisie Shoetique.

I will definitely be stopping by when I visit the NYC this fall.

Today's Scripture

Refuse to Worry!

"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life"
(Matthew 6:27, NIV)

Are you worrying about something today? To worry means to allow something to revolve in your mind over and over again. God doesn't want you to live worried or anxious about anything. He knows that worry steals your peace and joy. It affects every area of your life. Have you heard the saying, "Don't worry yourself sick?" That's because worrying affects your physical body. It affects your sleep. You won't ever gain anything by worrying; in fact, you'll lose precious moments that you can never get back again. The good news is that God has promised that you can have victory over worry. It starts by making the choice to trust in Him. When you cast your cares on Him, He will give you His peace.

Decide today to put an end to worry in your life. Choose to feed your faith and fill your mind with God's promises. As you focus on God's Word, you'll drive out worry and fill your heart with faith and expectancy; and you'll be empowered to move forward into the life of blessing He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, today I choose to put an end to worry in my life. I choose to feed my faith by studying Your promises and declaring Your Word over my life. Help me to totally trust in You today and every day. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Healthy Living - Low-Calorie Summer Drinks

Summertime is here and let me tell you, I love a good Margarita or Mojito on a regular!
Unfortunately, they don’t like my waistline!
Since I am not going to stop drinking them, I decided to look for ways to make low calorie versions so I can keep my small waistline but still enjoy my summer favorites.
I found these tips at Shape.com and I want to share them with those of you who indulge as I do.
These low calorie alcoholic drinks will let you indulge without ruining your waistline.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita

What's in there: 564 calories, 16 g sugar in 12 oz.

Just because there's fruit in the name of this one doesn't mean it's good for you. Most restaurant or club versions are made with sugary syrup that can be detrimental to your waistline. I read that just one of these slush delights has more calories than two bags of Skittles.

Make it healthier: Order a plain margarita (oh no!) on the rocks to save up to 300 calories. Also ask for one with no salt! That dusted rim may provide more than 2,000 milligrams of sodium, which is nearly your entire daily allowance. Want to mix up a batch at home? Skip the sugary mix and use fresh lime juice instead. If you are like me and you love strawberry margaritas, skip the restaurant versions and whip up some at home by making it with plain margarita mix, but add fresh strawberries and whip cream. Blend them together in a blender with ice and enjoy. So delicious!

Mojito

What's in there: 242 calories, 25 g sugar in 8 oz.

This Cuban cocktail (a blend of rum, sugar, mint leaves, lime juice, and club soda) can harm your waistline and sap your energy, since sweet drinks may up your risk of having a hangover.
Make it healthier: Ask the bartender to cut back on the sugar by a third and add a few extra splashes of club soda to lower the calorie count.
At home, swap the sweetener for a low- or no-cal one, like stevia or use raw sugar. (I am not a big fan of artificial sweeteners, so I would use raw sugar instead)
Why not try one this weekend during your Memorial Day celebration - I sure will!
Happy Memorial Day!

Hola!

Since I have been away for a few weeks, I decided to put up some more updates of my natural hair journey. I wanted to show those of you who are natural or who are thinking about going natural how easy it is to go from kinky to straight without the use of harsh chemicals. The dates don't coincide, but this is how my hair looks after it is pooed. The latter pictures are the finished result of a good blow dry and flat iron.

At first I decided not to straighten my hair that often, but lately I have been flat ironing it twice a month. I am going to color it (need some sometime sprucing) and rock my curly afro for a while and I will post pictures of the results later. (Whether good or bad - Let's hope good)
Happy Hair!!!!!!!

Today's Scripture

Increase More!

"There are those who [generously] scatter abroad, and yet increase more; there are those who withhold more than is fitting or what is justly due, but it results only in want"
(Proverbs 11:24, AMP)

In the book of Genesis, God set up a system of seedtime and harvest. Everything God does starts with a seed. The Bible also tells us that He gives seed to the sower. In other words, if you are a person who has a desire to bless others and sow seed, God will make sure you have plenty to give. Notice in today's verse what happens when we generously sow seed—we increase more! Just like planting a seed in the natural brings an abundant harvest, planting a spiritual seed brings an abundant harvest as well. You can't out give God. The scripture says that He will pour out blessings on you that you can barely contain.

God's blessings go way beyond the financial realm. He wants you to have blessed relationships, good health, and a happy career. Why don't you take a step of faith today and look for ways to start sowing. What do you have in your hand? Can you start by giving a smile and sowing joy? Do you have five dollars to help someone else at the gas pump? Choose to be blessing and watch how God brings increase in every area of your life.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, today I choose to be a sower and a giver. Help me to see the people around me the way You see them so that I can bless them the way You want to bless them. Thank You for Your faithfulness in my life as I stay obedient to Your Word. In Jesus' Name. Amen

I was in the mall last week and I went into Banana Republic. I had not been in there in years and let me tell you I was really impressed. They have this new line called BR Monogram and it is really nice. The clothing is moderately priced and the selection is great. The quality is much better than before and I even snagged a few pieces while I was there (thanks to my sweetie giving me his Banana Republic credit card).

Easy, summer dresses are all the rave right now and Banana Republic has captured that fesh look within this new collection.

Check them out at www.bananarepublic.com

I've listed a few pieces that caught my eye!

Today's Scripture

This One Thing.......

"…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead"
(Philippians 3:13, NLT)

Are you determined to forget the past? I know many people don't fully understand what that means. They wonder, "How can I forget something that's happened to me?" But one definition of the word forget is to disregard intentionally or to overlook. In other words, you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn't keep you from moving forward. That means the good and the bad. Sometimes our past victories keep us from rising higher as much as past failures. If we don't let go of the old, we'll never be able to embrace the new.

It doesn't matter what's happened in your history, it's time to forget what lies behind. Make the choice today to look forward. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He's working behind the scenes on your behalf. As you forget what lies behind and press forward, you will see the abundant life the Lord has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, I choose to forget the past today. I don't want anything to hold me back from the good future You have prepared for me. I choose forgiveness and ask that You help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward in every area of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Graduation Day Hair

Hello all! I want to take this time to apologize for such a lack luster blog for the past couple of months. As some of you know, I was attending college full-time and working full-time. Well, today is "GRADUATION DAY!"

I am making my strut across the stage at 2pm today and I am so ready!

I took five classes and I really had to put the medal to the pedal and study my butt off (literally)! I had Sociological Statistics and Research Methods this past semester and I could not fail. Well, I passed (3 A's and 2 B's) and I am receiving a BA in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. I am also receiving Latin Honors (cum laude) with a 3.4 grade point average. This is why my blog had to be set aside for a moment. :(

So, now I have time on my hands again and I will be back with some great tips, fashion, updates, and reviews to keep you coming back for more. Above are just some updates on the natural hair process.
Happy Graduation!!!!!!
